Our chiropractic clinic is located in The Panacea, Castleton in the grounds of the St. Mellons Hotel, near the St Mellons golf club.

All our chiropractors are fully qualified and registered with the General Chiropractic Council, British Chiropractic Association, and Royal College of Chiropractors.

Chiropractic care can help you with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions related to your musculoskeletal system (your joints, muscles, and nerves).

For further availability you can also visit our sister clinic, The Whitchurch Clinic, in Cardiff.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a government regulated profession in the UK, and in order to practise in the UK all chiropractors must have undertaken a four year degree course at a recognised university, and complete a one year post-graduate development course (PRTs) to be able to register with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). To retain their annual registration chiropractors are required to continually update their skills through continued professional development (CPD) each year.

Chiropractic is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. There is an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal manipulation or adjustment.

What should I expect on my first visit to a chiropractor?

Your first appointment includes:

  • Taking a history of your condition
  • Medical history
  • Examination
  • Report of findings
  • First treatment (if appropriate)

Through the appropriate history taking and examination we will formulate a diagnosis, and if you are happy, we follow up by providing the appropriate treatment. In some cases the treatment we can offer may not be the best option for you, in which case we would make the appropriate referral on you behalf, and support you in finding a solution to your problem.

To ensure the best outcome, and reduce the likelihood of re-injury our chiropractors offer a physical rehabilitation service tailored to you and your needs. One-on-one tuition provides you with peace of mind and support to get the best results.

We also offer 1:1 Clinical Pilates sessions with our principle chiropractor, check out our page for more details: Clinical Pilates
